Bay Tree House is ideally located in a tree-lined avenue overlooking Torre Valley Park.  Torre Abbey - with its tea rooms, ancient abbey ruins and splendid gardens - is just a short level stroll away.  The English Riviera Centre, Torquay Sea Front and Princess Theatre are also within walking distance.  Bay Tree House is also near to Torquay Harbour (for ferries to Brixham). We are happy to transport you on your arrival and departure from the nearby railway and coach stations, without charge.

Getting here by car

The quickest route to the South West is via the M5, which ends at Exeter.  From there take the A38 and A380 to Torquay and follow signs for Torquay sea front.  An alternative route from the South East is by the A303, and then the A30, which joins the M5 at Exeter.

Getting here by train

Great Western Railways operate direct trains to Torquay from London Paddington.

Crosscountry Trains operate direct trains from Birmingham New Street, with connections with the North.

There are more trains available from other locations if you change at Exeter St. Davids, or Newton Abbot.

Getting here by bus

Coach services operate to Torquay Coach Staion at Lymington Road Torquay.

National Express operate direct services from London, Heathrow Airport, and the North.

Megabus operate services to Torquay from London, Exeter and Bristol.

Flying to the UK

The nearest airport is Exeter International with flights from Europe and the UK.

For international connections beyond Europe the nearest airports are at Bristol and London.

To travel to Torquay from the airport use the airport bus service to the nearest railway station, or coach.
